Ten years ago almost no one had heard of the Internet. Today the Internet plays a significant role
in almost every company in the world. With the pace of technological change so rapid, companies that
fail to adapt soon find themselves at a competitive disadvantage and, often, out of business. Nowhere
is this more true then in the transportation industry. The future of the trucking industry is in technology.
Technology can be the difference between profitability and inefficiency; between success and failure.
With this in mind, we at Volume make an ongoing effort to maximize the benefits of our resources by using
technology to its fullest. We at Volume understand the value that advanced technology can bring to any company.
More importantly, we know how to apply modern technologies to the transportation industry. Volume continues to
seek out new technologies that will improve on our ability to do business and to make our customers' roles in
the supply-chain as seamless as possible. Ultimately, Volume hopes that by using the most modern technologies,
we can make the customer's experience better while at the same time reducing the cost of doing business and
saving everyone in the logistics process money.
Below you will find some of the technologies that Volume is currently using to better our
business and serve our customers at a higher level:

Mobile Communications
All of Volume's tractors are equipped with the latest in mobile
communications that allows the company to know the location
of customers' loads 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Volume
uses Xatar® MobileMax mobile communication devices. These
systems are state-of-the-art and are the only mobile communication
devices that use Multi-ModeTM technology. This simply means
that the devices have the ability to monitor our tractors
using either a cellular or satellite network switching back
and forth, always utilizing the network that is most available.
Because of this advanced tracking system, dispatchers can
always precisely locate trucks, and our customers can always
precisely locate their loads. Since Volume dispatchers and
drivers have the ability to communicate directly with each
other at all times, they are able to respond to our customers
ever-changing needs quickly and easily. Not only can Volume
track loads at all times, but they can also monitor a driver's
performance. This means that we are able to analyze aspects
of driver performance such as idle-time, hard-brakes, and
speed. By examining our drivers' performance, Volume is able
to make our fleet more efficient and assure that customer
loads get to their delivery point on time and undamaged. At
Volume we know where our tractor-trailers have been, where
they are, and where they are going...

Electronic Data Interchange(EDI)
In today's economy, many companies need to quickly communicate
across the world in varying formats. Companies also want to
reduce the paper traffic jam by providing a way to transmit
data to and from their customers and partners easily in an
electronic format. At Volume, we know the importance of Electronic
Data Interchange. Volume has devoted itself to providing our
customers with the latest in EDI technology and has partnered
with several of the top value added networks or VANs to provide
those services. Volume can streamline the customer's booking
process by allowing 204s to be transmitted directly into their
system. On the other end of the spectrum, Volume can directly
transmit load status into the customer's system by sending
214s. Finally, Volume can accommodate customers wanting to
move to a paperless system by providing 210 freight invoices.

EasyTrack. Customers can easily see the location of their
shipment and track its movement 24 hours a day. Volume has
taken the guess work out of shipping loads and provides traffic
